Today Tilly and I headed off to the Norley village garden fete, this is a traditional village fete in a nearby village in Cheshire. We had kindly been invited to hold a stand and to judge the art section. The marque was full of wonderful home makes, so much care and enthusiasm had clearly gone into every piece.
I love the whole feel of fetes like this, the pretty home made cakes, village characters, dogs, home makes, the simple pleasures of country living. It’s events like this that mark the seasons. It is this warm, cosy village country life that is a huge inspiration to my designs.
I have so many ideas for designs and products I would love to develop, I would also love to have a section of monthly print outs for you to enjoy and use in your planners or memory keeping files. I have so much I would like to develop I really don’t know where to begin.
So I am off to write a long list and plan everything in. If you have been waiting for the fabric I am still in development from the first swatch but hope to bring you news soon.
For now I am going to put my feet up and enjoy a hot drink with a favourite magazine and look forward to a Sunday catching up with decorating and putting our feet and paws up. have a lovely weekend
